As much as we like to think our memories will stay fresh in our minds, our brain is a master manipulator, constantly tweaking stories and experiences to make it more manageable and make space for the negative shit. Photos are our passport to the past (a PASTport, if you will 😂). It allows us to remember our lives and draw us back to moments that stitch our lives together. Relationships come and gone, friendships and laughter, family and play, and just - existing. The amount of times women refuse to get in front of their camera because of their bodies is heartbreaking. Theres a massive amount of opportunities lost where you were interacting with the world around you, showing the world your amazingness, gone because you "might" have a chubby tum or double chin. Photos literally help us savour moments that mean the most to us and if we only reserve that for "perfection" we are going to miss a big chunk of savouring possibilities. There's no perfect time - there's only time. Don't waste it. A post shared by teri hofford (@terihofford) on Sep 30, 2019 at 5:30pm PDT Teri Hofford
